To this day, the USA hasn’t passed a law allowing the sale within the country of sunscreens with new last-generation filters, which are considered safer and more photostable (and which have long been approved in the EU, Korea, Japan, and other countries).
As a result, last year iHerb was forced to remove a mass of our favorite proven sunscreens, and this year those same Koreans hustled and released special versions for the USA, swapping the more advanced filters for outdated ones—the ones that are allowed to be sold in the USA (so don’t get them confused: the same sunscreen ordered on American and European or Asian sites might differ from each other! Even though their packaging is almost the same…)
But! By some miracle, a few sunscreens with NEW generation filters leaked onto iHerb this season, and today I will mark them for you.

1 APLB Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA ++++
High protection with last-generation filters + work on strengthening the barrier, hydration, and reducing redness (centella, niacinamide, and glutathione).
And not only with new generation filters, BUT also good ones:

2. Missha All Around Vita C Sunscreen SPF 50
Yes, there are old-generation chemical filters here (the ones allowed in the USA), but here they are correctly combined with mineral filters, which improves the overall properties of the sunscreen and increases its UV-protective properties.

3. 9Wishes Sun Moisturizer SPF 50+ PA+++
It’s the same story here: mixed filters (old + mineral). I had this sunscreen; about three years ago I wrote about it: pleasant texture, good protection + it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
Mineral Sunscreens
Well, and on iHerb there are Korean sunscreens left that use mineral (physical) filters; usually, these are not as comfortable as those with chemical filters (they can be white, thick, and greasy), but Koreans manage to make the textures acceptable and only slightly brightening, not “white-casting.” Plus, it’s the best option for very sensitive skin.
So, the best mineral ones:

4. Round Lab Birch Juice Mild-Up UVLock Sunscreen SPF 50+
Sunscreen with a mineral filter (zinc oxide) with a high degree of protection + a non-thick texture + a solid hydrating-soothing formula.

5. d’Alba UV Essence Waterfull+ Sunscreen Mild SPF 50+
High degree of protection, mineral filter (zinc oxide), hydration, and barrier strengthening (hyaluronic + ceramides + centella).

6. Axis-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++
I had this one last summer, I wrote to you about it: liquid texture, mineral filter (zinc oxide), strong soothing effect.
Attention! For these sunscreens with chemical filters:
Don’t get them confused!

But these sunscreens familiar to us (Skin1004 is one of my favorites, I bought it about three times!) have a CHANGED formula on American sites—last-generation chemical filters have been swapped for more outdated ones (Avobenzone, Homosalate, Octinoxate, Octocrylene) to comply with US laws. So keep in mind that they are different!
